Chavuma Mission is located about 10 km from the Angolan border, overlooking the beautiful Zambezi River. It is a Brethren assembly-run mission started in 1922 whose main purpose is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
One key means of this is through the Mission Hospital which services a wide area of Zambia; many Angolans also come for treatment. The 100-bed hospital has male/ female (medical and surgical), paediatric, and TB wards, an active maternity service, neonatal ICU, observation room, operating theatre, pharmacy, laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, physiotherapy service, and out-patients department. There is currently one Zambian Medical Doctor.
Other outreaches/ opportunities include literature work, Gospel preaching, Bible teaching, Sunday Schools, youth Bible study and camp work, visitation, helping widows and needy, maintenance, etc. Please contact the address above for more information about serving the Lord there.
