Mambilima Hospital, situated in the Luapula Province, has been recognised as the best performing hospital in the province. Improvements have been made recently to the hospital, and standards of care have improved. As well as providing general treatment, it has a midwifery and small surgical department.
Annos Mbita (pictured on the left in the first image below) is the hospital administrator. With him is one of the doctors holding a further trophy presented for being best overall performer in the area. The hospital is fully prepared for Covid-19 patients, with safety measures and equipment in place, although there have been little in terms of cases.
As well as being involved at the hospital, Mbita is active in his local church and has a passion for discipling young people. The Bible tells us to work as unto the Lord, not to please man but to honour God. Pray that the staff who work in the hospital would continue to pursue excellence in their work, to the benefit of those in need around them.
